No Doubt recently performed as the 80’s rock band Snowed Out (get it S NO’d Out?) and did a cover of Adam and the Ants track “Stand and Deliver“…a far cry from No Doubt’s style. Rumors were floating around that “Stand and Deliver” was No Doubt’s new single – not so says Gwen Stefani. However, the band will perform the cover at their Bamboozle show on May 3rd and, according to Gwen “We hadn’t planned on playing the song live but we’ve been having so much fun we decided to play it on stage for the first time at Bamboozle on May 3rd. If you guys like it, maybe we’ll add it into our set.” So if you buy tickets to see No Doubt live at Bamboozle, write your review below.
Known for applying colorful sets and outfits, No Doubt has decided that take a different angel during the 2009 No Doubt Tour with Paramore. Set to the theme of Clockwork Orange, fans will experience – “space-age modernism — it’s retro and modern at the same time, so we’re building this crazy stage set that has that vibe. We have a bunch of really great artists doing T-shirts and posters that echo that,” according to Tom Dumont.
Will Tony, Tom and Adrian throw on white unitards with jockstraps, bowling hats and false eyelashes plastered to one eye? Will Gwen lead the pack complete with suspenders? Only time will tell, and, of course No Doubt tickets!!

Today, No Doubt announced on their official website that they would be joining Tiger Woods at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Sin City for Tiger Jam XII along with Paramore and The Sounds. Tiger Woods had this to say about the addition:
“They are amazing performers, and I’m honored they are helping raise funds and awareness for the millions of young people my Foundation supports.”
So if you’re in the Vegas area or you’re planning on playing craps around May 15th and May 16th, grab yourself some No Doubt tickets to Tiger Jam XII!!
Could it be true? I’m definitely going to be the first in line to get my No Doubt tickets because rumors have been flying around that Paramore will open for No Doubt on their forthcoming spring/summer No Doubt tour in 2009! Hayley of Paramore had this to say about the No Doubt tour- “What a dream tour! We couldn’t be more excited to kick off 2009 by touring with a band like No Doubt.” No dates have been announced yet but keep checking back for more information on the No Doubt tour schedule in the future!
I recently checked out ND’s official site (nodoubt.com) and found two posts assuring fans that ND would be on the road in the Spring of 2009 – they’re rehearsing as we speak! Tom had this to say about the process – “Today Tony and I are at Adrian’s house, jamming in his basement. This is kind of the first official tour rehearsal, I suppose. We’re stretching our instrumental muscles and getting some kinks out.”
Exciting! Don’t worry kids, No Doubt is still hitting the road in spring 2009 however, Adrian Young recently announced that No Doubt’s untitled album-in-the-works will NOT be released in 2009. While No Doubt members will still record in their mobile studio during the No Doubt tour, nothing new will be hitting radio waves in 2009.
Adrian told MTV, “We’ve been working on a new record off and on now for a bit of time, and we’re going to continue to work on a new record next year,” he said. “We’re going to start touring in the spring of ‘09 through the summer, and we’re going to continue to work on music while we’re traveling. [We'll have] a mobile studio on the bus and eventually get to a new No Doubt record.”
And as for their musical style? Adrian dishes that his love lies in reggae, as to whether or not they’re going to limit themselves to reggae remains to be seen – “It seems like we’ve always come from an eclectic background musically. But we seem to always gravitate towards reggae. I can’t say that’s what our record is going to be like, ’cause it’s too early to tell, but what makes us feel really good is reggae music. I can play reggae music to my grave.”
It seems like No Doubt is inching closer and closer to their tour;although winter just began, you should plan your spring accordingly because the No Doubt tour is going to be off the hook! So keep checking back because before you know it No Doubt concert tickets will be sold out!
